All Aboard! The Care Train needs you!
There are so many ways to get on the Care Train and make a difference in children and senior citizen’s lives! Consider these options for your family to support, or your company.
Adopt a Family or Child
Fill out this simple form and we’ll connect you anonymously with a child, a family or as many as you are comfortable shopping for.
Businesses may also sign up to adopt families or children or seniors.
Do you attend a local church in the area? Several have Christmas trees on display with paper stars. Each star has a child in need with their age, gender and wish list. If your church does not have a tree and would like one, contact the Care Train for information.
Volunteer your time
There are many ways and levels of commitment. A few areas of need are:
- Distributing and collecting toy bins throughout Union County
- Assist with the auction – many positions available
- Assist with distribution day – the most rewarding of all!
Be a Care Train Advocate (CTA)
Tell you friends, family, coworkers and anyone who lives in Union County about the Care Train and our mission!
Educate any friends, family or coworkers who may be struggling about the Care Train application process to aid them during the holiday season.
Follow us on Facebook and share news, events and ways to support the Care Train.
Get a Care Train Brain!
The holiday season may only roll around once a year, but Care Train works all year long to make it happen.
Throughout the year, clearance sales are great times to stock up toy, video game and clothes for kids 13 and under. Picking up something here or there throughout the off season is also easier on the pocket book!
Businesses or individuals that have valuable gifts that make great auction items but aren’t the right season – that’s OK! We can do special auctions any time of the year through social media bidding! Summer concert tickets or events? Maybe gift certificates or vacations.
If you find great deals – share them on our Facebook or text others with Care Train Brain. You can drop off items at:
Dutch Mill Greenhouse –
Rt. 4 Marysville
Focused Management Experts Inc –
883 London Ave, Ste. A
Marysville, OH 43040
Any Richwood Bank location
All items will be stored at Dutch Mill Greenhouse until distribution time.
Drink Richwood Coffee!
There are so many ways to get on the Care Train and make a difference in children and senior citizen’s lives! Did you know that Richwood Coffee donates 100% of its funds designated to Care Train? That means all you have to do is purchase a delicious coffee, smoothie, or tea at any Richwood Coffee shop in Union County, and Care Train will receive the funds.
We are always accepting cash donations to fund out food voucher program for senior citizens, families and the disabled.
We also welcome donations for the auction and silent auctions.
Toys! We accept new toys for infants up to 13 year olds.
All donations are tax deductible. Payments can be written to The Care Train or dropped off at Focused Management Experts Inc at 883 London Ave, Ste A. Marysville
The auction and popup auctions are a fun way to support the Care Train while winning fantastic products, services and event experiences donated by all of our supporters.
Shopping for others is fun, too! When you adopt a child or family, or pick a star from the giving trees, you get the fun of shopping for children’s wish lists, knowing they will have a wonderful Christmas because of you!
Bring your Family and Friends to the Annual Benefit Concert
After the auction, experience your favorite Christmas songs performed by a full orchestra from Cardinal Health. This year the concert will be at 7:30 pm on December 10th at the Marysville High School auditorium. There is no cost, it’s a free will donation. Donations will be matched up to $5,000 by Cardinal Health!
What has most touched us are our legacy supporters. Families have remembered Care Train upon the loss of a loved one and request that donations be made to Care Train, in lieu of flowers.
We are grateful for the kindness and trust shown to us during their mourning.
