The Care Train of Union County
is a completely local, completely volunteer
organization. This means that all the money raised
directly benefits the less
fortunate in our county. A 501(c)3 status is maintained
so that all contributions
are tax deductible.

727 families in Union County in
2007. 923
children and teens received toys and 313
elderly residents received assistance with a holiday
meal.
Q- How much did you raise last year and how?
A- Last year's event raised over $100,000 through
auction and donations.
Q- Is my auction purchase tax deductible?
A- Auction items include a receipt showing your
amount paid and the value of the item. If you
take itemized deductions on your tax return,
you may deduct the difference between these values
as a charitable donation. Consult a tax advisor
